Why we need to shift to MycoPack immediately?

It’s no secret polystyrene or plastic is devastating to the environment. But, do you know how exactly that is so? Polystyrene or plastic – which is made from petroleum, a non-sustainable, non-renewable, heavily polluting and fast-disappearing commodity – is not biodegradable, as it takes thousands of years to break down. In addition, it is detrimental to wildlife that ingests it.

Despite this well-known data, there are 30 percent styrofoam and styrofoam products filling up landfill spaces in United States, and landfills are fast becoming full.

Sadly, until every individual decides to “be the change” and live consciously, styrofoam pollution will continue to be a problem. In fact, it’s already estimated that by 2050, 99% of birds on this planet will have plastic in their guts.

For cardboard and paper packaging, there is always an arguable question: How sustainable is cardboard and paper packaging? Paper requires more energy to produce than plastic - statistics vary but it is thought to be 3 times higher. It is also heavier to transport than plastic. Besides, do not forget that cardboard and paper are made from trees. Moreover, cardboard and paper production is also a water intensive and polluting industry. Bleaching chemical and synthetic resin are using in significant amount throughout the whole production process.

With our patent pending technology, we are able to provide a greener and cost competitive solution to your packaging needs. Moreover, we are able to cater smaller volume of custom made order. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further discussion. Let's create a greener and better future through MycoPack!
